Round 1 of the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux took place last weekend in the prestigious FIA WEC event. After good test days and a good preparation, the driver of the #92 ⚫️🔴 Porsche 992 GT3 Benjamin Paque scored P5️⃣ and P2️⃣ in the two free practices sessions. Results of the qualification ni 🌦 rainy conditions did not confirm his potential; he was unfortunately caught in the 🚗🚗 trafic during his fastest lap despite the best sector 1 🟪 with the famous Eau rouge - Raidillon corner.
Start of the first race in P8 was good and the August by NGT driver fought hard to finish P4️⃣. He started P6 in race 2 and was 💢 touched and ➰ spun in the first lap by another driver... Without any chance to score a good result, we decided to change to dry tires and Benjamin set the ⏱ fastest time of the race, 🚀 coming back from last P32 to P15 🏁. Pace was here on a very slippery Spa-Francorchamps racetrack.
We found a lot of 📝 points to improve and will confirm the potential of the #92 crew next race! 🔝 Congrats to the sister car #15 of Glenn Van Parijs for the win and the P2 position in the races!
