After a difficult DNF for various mechanical issues at Kowait 12H in december, hopes were high for this year first race of 24H Series championship, Dubai Autodrome Circuit 24 hours. Stéphane Perrin Officiel, Yannick Mettler, Miklas Born / Quick-mik.ch and Sam Dejonghe was our dream lineup to drive the 🔵⚫️ #188 Audi Sport RS3 LMS TCR to a good result.
🥱 Despite very long nights at work during all the week, we were not lucky with the 🛠 mechanical problems... Only little stint in second test session, no participation in Q1 and Q2 due to transmission issue, but fastest times set in TCR/TCE in Q3 and Q4 by Miklas and Yannick!
We did not know what will happen in the race but we decided to adopt a smooth pace to preserve the car in a high stress racetrack. We were in the fight for the win all the race even if we pushed with an agressive strategy and we finished the race without any 🔕 alert and alarm. We did not believe it! 🏁 P1 in TCR category and in TCE class with 50 laps advantage, 25th overall. What a work done by the 4️⃣ drivers and by the AC Motorsport team, we can be proud! First Audi RS3 LMS TCR to win and finish an endurance race with any issues... 💪 Strong performance.
